BIOGRAPHY AND APPRECIATION OF 1st. MAJOR AWUAH KWAKU DARKO ON THE OCCASION OF HIS 60TH BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION!
Good evening ladies and gentlemen, Today we thank Almighty God for the life of 1st. Major Awuah Kwaku Darko as he celebrates his 60th birthday. 1st Major Awuah Kwaku Darko is a soldier in God’s Army and one of the leaders of Aggressive Christianity Mission Training Corps. He was born on 25th May 1966 and has dedicated his life to serving God and humanity through evangelism and Christian outreach missions.
He attended Nsawam Presbyterian Middle School and later continued his education at Koforidua Moses College of Accountancy. By the grace of God, he further received biblical and ministerial training at Global Ministerial College, and Mahanaim Bible College Ghana.
Before responding fully to the call of God, 1st. Major Awuah Kwaku Darko was a tailor and fashion designer by profession. Through his profession, he trained many people under his care. However, when the call of God came upon his life, he left his profession and dedicated himself fully to the ministry as a soldier in the Army of God.
Through Aggressive Christianity Missions Training Corps, he has participated in reaching out to lost souls in prisons, schools, hospitals, villages, and through house-to-house evangelism wherever duty calls. Together with the ministry team, they have visited prisoners, orphanage homes, widows, and many needy people with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
As part of the ministry work, Gospel tracts, Bibles, clothes, medicines, and cash gifts have been distributed to support many lives. Through the grace of God, many souls have accepted Jesus Christ, and some have become ministers of God. To God alone be all the glory.
Special appreciation also goes to the Generals in God’s Army, General Deborah Green and General James Green, who accepted him as their son in Christ. Through their training, prayers, encouragement, and support, God has used them greatly in shaping and strengthening his ministry life.
1st. Major Awuah Kwaku Darko is married to Mrs. Mavis Amponsah Awuah Darko, a dedicated nursing sister, whose support and encouragement have been a blessing to both his life and ministry
He is the son of the late Nana Awuah Amanor, a sub-chief at Larteh-Akwapim, and Nana Awo Agyaa II, Queen Mother of Adonte Aburi in Akwapim South.
To God be the glory. Thank you all.
MY TESTIMONY: CALLED TO BE A SOLDIER IN THE ARMY OF GOD
BY 1ST MAJOR AWUAH KWAKU DARKO
“SO SHALL MY WORD BE THAT GOES FORTH FROM MY MOUTH; IT SHALL NOT RETURN TO ME VOID, BUT IT SHALL ACCOMPLISH WHAT I PLEASE, AND IT SHALL PROSPER IN THE THING FOR WHICH I SENT IT.” – ISAIAH 55:11
THIS IS HOW IT ALL STARTED.
MANY YEARS AGO, WHILE WALKING ON THE CAMPUS OF KWAME NKRUMAH UNIVERSITY OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY IN KUMASI, SOMEONE HANDED ME AN ACMTC BOOKLET. AFTER READING IT, I FOUND IT VERY INTERESTING AND SPIRITUALLY INSPIRING. I IMMEDIATELY WROTE TO REQUEST MORE MATERIALS.

THE GENERALS RESPONDED BY SENDING ME ADDITIONAL ACMTC LITERATURE, VIDEO CASSETTES, GOSPEL TRACTS, BOOKS, AND BIBLES. AS I WATCHED THE VIDEOS, I SAW MEN AND WOMEN DRESSED LIKE SOLDIERS, BOLDLY PREACHING AGAINST SIN, TEACHING SPIRITUAL WARFARE, AND CALLING BELIEVERS TO SERVE CHRIST WHOLEHEARTEDLY. DEEP WITHIN MY SPIRIT, GOD SPOKE TO ME, AND I SAID, “THIS IS THE WORK I WILL DO.”
AT THAT TIME, I WAS WORKING AS A TAILOR AND FASHION DESIGNER. I CONTINUED CORRESPONDING WITH THE GENERALS AND EVENTUALLY BECAME A DISTRIBUTOR OF GOSPEL TRACTS, BOOKS, BIBLES, CASSETTES, VIDEOS, AND OTHER CHRISTIAN MATERIALS.
SOON, I BEGAN ORGANIZING EVANGELISTIC OUTREACHES TO SCHOOLS, HOSPITALS, PRISONS, ORPHANAGE HOMES, HOMES, STREETS, AND VARIOUS COMMUNITIES,
PREACHING THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST AND DISTRIBUTING ACMTC MATERIALS. I ALSO MAILED ACMTC LITERATURE AND NEW TESTAMENT BIBLES THROUGHOUT GHANA.
AS TIME WENT ON, I NOTICED THAT THE MORE MATERIALS I SENT TO STUDENTS IN SCHOOLS, THE MORE LETTERS I RECEIVED REQUESTING TRACTS, BIBLES, AND CHRISTIAN LITERATURE. WHEN I ASKED THE GENERALS ABOUT THEIR DEDICATION AND COMMITMENT TO THE LORD’S WORK, THEY EXPLAINED THAT IT ALL BEGAN WITH PEOPLE WHO HAD A VISION AND ACTED UPON IT. THEY TAUGHT THAT GOD IS RAISING AN ARMY, AND THOSE WHO RESPOND TO HIS CALL WILL BE USED BEYOND HUMAN UNDERSTANDING.
AS A TAILOR, I USED MY PROFESSION TO SUPPORT EVANGELISM. I SEWED MANY UNIFORMS BEARING EAGLE DESIGNS AND TRAINED OUTREACH WORKERS AS “EAGLE FORCE SOLDIERS” FOR CHRIST. HOWEVER, WHENEVER I PRAYED AND ASKED GOD TO BLESS MY TAILORING BUSINESS WITH MORE SEWING MACHINES, HE CONTINUALLY IMPRESSED UPON MY HEART THAT HE HAD COMMITTED A MINISTRY INTO MY HANDS.
GRADUALLY, I REALIZED THAT THE CALL OF GOD WAS UPON MY LIFE. THEREFORE, I LEFT MY PROFESSION AND DEDICATED MYSELF FULLY TO THE MINISTRY AS A SOLDIER IN THE ARMY OF GOD.
“NO ONE SERVING AS A SOLDIER GETS ENTANGLED IN CIVILIAN AFFAIRS, BUT RATHER TRIES TO PLEASE HIS COMMANDING OFFICER.” – 2 TIMOTHY 2:4
WHEN I SURRENDERED COMPLETELY TO GOD’S WORK, PERSECUTION AROSE FROM MANY DIRECTIONS. YET THROUGH GOD’S GRACE AND THE ENCOURAGEMENT OF OUR GENERALS AT HEADQUARTERS, THE LORD STRENGTHENED AND SUSTAINED ME.
“BUT THEY THAT WAIT UPON THE LORD SHALL RENEW THEIR STRENGTH; THEY SHALL MOUNT UP WITH WINGS AS EAGLES…” – ISAIAH 40:31
OVER THE YEARS, BY GOD’S GRACE, MY TEAM AND I HAVE PREACHED IN COUNTLESS SCHOOLS AND COMMUNITIES, DISTRIBUTED THOUSANDS OF BIBLES, GOSPEL TRACTS, AND CHRISTIAN MATERIALS, AND WITNESSED MANY LIVES TRANSFORMED THROUGH THE MINISTRY OF ACMTC. WE HAVE SEEN STUDENTS, YOUNG PEOPLE, AND ADULTS COME TO CHRIST, AND MANY HAVE GONE ON TO BECOME MINISTERS OF THE GOSPEL.
“GO YE THEREFORE, AND TEACH ALL NATIONS…” – MATTHEW 28:19
“AND HE SAID UNTO THEM, GO YE INTO ALL THE WORLD, AND PREACH THE GOSPEL TO EVERY CREATURE.” – MARK 16:15
LOOKING BACK, I CAN CONFIDENTLY SAY THAT GOD HAS BEEN FAITHFUL. THE SEED PLANTED THROUGH ONE BOOKLET ON A UNIVERSITY CAMPUS GREW INTO A LIFELONG CALLING AND MINISTRY. WHAT BEGAN AS A SIMPLE ACT OF RECEIVING CHRISTIAN LITERATURE BECAME GOD’S MEANS OF DIRECTING MY LIFE INTO HIS SERVICE.
TO GOD ALONE BE ALL THE GLORY, HONOR, AND PRAISE.
“NOW UNTO HIM THAT IS ABLE TO DO EXCEEDING ABUNDANTLY ABOVE ALL THAT WE ASK OR THINK, ACCORDING TO THE POWER THAT WORKETH IN US.” EPHESIANS 3:20
TO GOD BE THE GLORY!

FROM: 1ST MAJOR AWUAH KWAKU DARKO (6/7/26)
DEAR GENERAL AND FELLOW SOLDIERS IN THE LORD’S ARMY,
GREETINGS IN THE MIGHTY NAME OF OUR LORD AND SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.
WE ARE VERY GRATEFUL TO HEAR FROM OUR DEAR BROTHER IN TANZANIA, Frank Materu. I RECEIVED A CALL FROM HIM THIS MORNING, AND WE SPENT TIME ENCOURAGING ONE ANOTHER AND DISCUSSING THE WEBSITE MINISTRY AND HOW BEST WE CAN LIFT UP THE BANNER OF AFRICA AND JOIN FORCES TOGETHER FOR THE ADVANCEMENT OF GOD’S KINGDOM.
INDEED, GOD IS RAISING UP HIS ARMY-MEN AND WOMEN WHO ARE WILLING TO ANSWER HIS CALL AND STAND FAITHFULLY IN THESE CRITICAL TIMES. THOSE WHO RESPOND IN OBEDIENCE WILL BE USED BY HIM BEYOND HUMAN UNDERSTANDING AND EXPECTATION. WE GIVE ALL GLORY TO GOD, AND MAY HIS HOLY NAME BE PRAISED FOREVER.
LET US REMAIN STEADFAST, UNITED, AND COURAGEOUS IN THE WORK OF THE LORD, KNOWING THAT OUR LABOR IS NEVER IN VAIN.
AS THE SCRIPTURE DECLARES:
“BE STRONG AND COURAGEOUS. DO NOT BE AFRAID OR DISCOURAGED, FOR THE LORD YOUR GOD IS WITH YOU WHEREVER YOU GO.”
– JOSHUA 1:9
AND AGAIN:
“THEREFORE, MY DEAR BROTHERS AND SISTERS, STAND FIRM. LET NOTHING MOVE YOU. ALWAYS GIVE YOURSELVES FULLY TO THE WORK OF THE LORD, BECAUSE YOU KNOW THAT YOUR LABOR IN THE LORD IS NOT IN VAIN.”
-1 CORINTHIANS 15:58
AS YOU STEP INTO THIS NEW DAY, MAY THE LORD FILL YOU WITH BOLDNESS, JOY, AND UNSTOPPABLE FAITH TO DECLARE THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST. WALK IN THE POWER OF THE HOLY SPIRIT AND NEVER BE ASHAMED OF YOUR CALLING.
“AND TO HIM THEY AGREED: AND WHEN THEY HAD CALLED THE APOSTLES, AND BEATEN THEM, THEY COMMANDED THAT THEY SHOULD NOT SPEAK IN THE NAME OF JESUS, AND LET THEM GO. AND THEY DEPARTED FROM THE PRESENCE OF THE COUNCIL, REJOICING THAT THEY WERE COUNTED WORTHY TO SUFFER SHAME FOR HIS NAME. AND DAILY IN THE TEMPLE, AND IN EVERY HOUSE, THEY CEASED NOT TO TEACH AND PREACH JESUS CHRIST.” — ACTS 5:40-42
THE EARLY CHURCH DID NOT STOP PREACHING JESUS EVEN IN THE FACE OF OPPOSITION, SUFFERING, AND PERSECUTION. INSTEAD OF FEAR, THEY RESPONDED WITH JOY AND CONTINUED FAITHFULNESS. THIS IS THE SPIRIT OF TRUE SOLDIERS OF CHRIST.
TODAY, DO NOT BE SILENCED BY FEAR, OPPOSITION, OR REJECTION. CONTINUE TO SHARE JESUS WHEREVER YOU GO-IN YOUR HOME, WORKPLACE, SCHOOL, AND COMMUNITY. THE GOSPEL MUST GO FORWARD.
PRAYER
HEAVENLY FATHER, THANK YOU FOR THE BOLDNESS OF THE EARLY CHURCH. FILL US WITH THE SAME COURAGE TO PREACH JESUS WITHOUT FEAR. HELP US TO REMAIN FAITHFUL EVEN IN OPPOSITION AND TO NEVER BE ASHAMED OF YOUR NAME. USE US TO IMPACT LIVES FOR YOUR KINGDOM. IN JESUS’ NAME, AMEN.
BIBLE READINGS:
– ACTS 5:40-42
– PHILIPPIANS 1:29
– 2 TIMOTHY 1:8
MAY WE CONTINUE TO ENCOURAGE ONE ANOTHER, STAND SHOULDER TO SHOULDER IN THE LORD’S ARMY, AND ADVANCE THE KINGDOM OF GOD WITH FAITH, UNITY, AND LOVE.
HOPE TO HEAR FROM YOU SOON.
YOURS IN GOD’S ARMY,
1ST MAJOR AWUAH KWAKU DARKO AND HIS WIFE, MAVIS AMPONSAH AWUAH DARKO.
